Honolulu, HI: The WhereWolf App, a new, full-service Hawaiian-centric mobile application designed to inform local Hawaiian residents and tourists of activities, restaurants, events, destinations, and more, right from the convenient of a mobile device, this week officially announced an early special release download option for users who fill out information on the WhereWolf Email List.
Borne from a passion for providing expert insight and community engagement to the Hawaiian region, the WhereWolf App will take listing venues one step further by also covering daily events and pop up activities unavailable on platforms like Yelp and Opentables.
“Until now, users only had the option of vetting reviews on established locations in a given Hawaiian area,” said Joshua Duhaylonsod, Founder and CEO of WhereWolf. “We wanted to take the activity and excitement one step farther by making all the information available in real-time to app users. Now, events, happy hours, pop-up parties, and more are going to be accessible instantly.”
Inside the app, users will have access to both a timeline and map view for staying on top of local events. Both the map and timeline will feature the most talked about events in a given period for app users to view.
Once inside the app, users are prompted to create their own free profile and begin following friends, favorite venues, and events that interest them. The app contains an instant message feature for getting into contact with other friends and their daily plans. For those interested in creating friend groups, known as WolfPacks, a group chat function can be set up on the app that enables check-ins, tagging, and coordination for all upcoming meet-ups.
“This app is going to consolidate and simplify the communication and texting that goes on to try and coordinate plans in Hawaii,” said Duhaylonsod. “With the WhereWolf app, users can view activities, chat with friends, check into WolfPacks, and have the entire day and week planned out with one-of-a-kind events and excursions. By using WolfPacks, users can even tag where they want to go using our social tags: #TheWhereWolfApp, #WhereWolfHNL, #TheWhereWolfIsComing, and #WWPARTY.”
Users have the availability to interact with events and venues by clicking “Vibe” to show their love. The app also comes with easy map directions and geotags that make the experience digitally interactive, right from their mobile devices.
For all Hawaiian venues interested in signing up on the app, the process is similar to the regular users, starting with a free profile setup. Once that's done, the venue goes live in the app, and business owners can start viewing Event Analytics that are archived from each hosted event. Using the “Vibe” feature mentioned above, venues can follow these vibe algorithms and see what's hot and what's not at a certain time. All venues can post as many events as they want and incorporate venue maps and directions. Lastly, the app enables the venues to market to targeted demographics with editing features.
“We are incredibly excited to witness the increased revenue for our participating venues, as well as the increased social activity among Hawaii residents looking for fun, engaging events,” said Duhaylonsod. “Spread the word on the official opening of our early special release download period, and head on over to our platform today to get on the Email List.”
By joining the WhereWolf Email List, users will be granted early access to the comprehensive app functionalities.
The official launch of the app in both the App Store and Google Play is scheduled to occur sometime in APRIL 2017...
